The TWIGA foundation was founded for the children’s project ‘Sarakasi ya Vijana’ in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. TWIGA Nederland coordinates TWIGA Tanzania. In the future more similar projects can be covered by this foundation. TWIGA subscribes to the basic principles of the UNDP.

TWIGA is currently supporting a center for the marginalized children in Mto wa Mbu in the north of Tanzania. A local organization in Mto wa Mbu approached TWIGA some years ago raising the problem of helping the town by taking on the street children problem. A Dutch project coordinator and local staff work on the improvement of the future of these children.
